THE EMMY'S
The EMMY'S are live tonight but many of the awards were given out last weekend at the Creative Arts Emmy Ceremony.
Why the performance above was not nominated for something is an outrage!
Like every other year, it pisses me off to hear Jeff Probst won best reality host yet again. First off, I am not a huge fan of Probst. Unlike the other hosts in his category (Ryan Seacrest, Tom Bergeron, Cat Deeley and Phil Keoghan), Probst joins in his game, not being a support to all, but picks his favorites and gushing over them throughout the season on his blog. Probst's hard on over Russell was nauseating.
I love Phil Keoghan, but he and Probst host two filmed and edited reality shows. Each of their scenes is scripted, edited and able to be redone if they flub a line or a hair is out of place. It is not really that fair to pit them against the other three who host live shows. I know Seacrest annoys many but his gift at keeping Idol going, sometimes for a two hour show is outstanding. Odd judge behaviour, diva singers, musical cues, contestant nerves, group numbers all done seamlessly after the break. Deeley is lovable and Bergeron on target, but Seacrest is a master at holding the huge show together. Probst's perfectly coiffed hair and annoying voice overs (Go Russell!!!) during comps, is in no way close to what Seacrest does week after week. Who is voting for these things anyway....oh...must be Russell!
