Just Because: Adam Scott

Actor Adam Scott has been doing the rounds on talk shows the past couple of weeks promoting his role in Friends With Kids and his role on Parks And Recreation. I hear Parks is a decent show but nothing about NBC's Thursday comedy line-up draws me (or most of America so it seems) to watch. Despite the critical raves and Emmy Awards none of the four sit-coms is putting a dent in the ratings juggernaut of American Idol. If Idol were not enough, Parks has to deal with CBS's The Big Bang Theory. I had not really known Adam had joined the cast until seeing him on TV last week, but he might be what gets me to give it a look.

Adam has been working steadily in the business for close to 20 years, and I think he first caught my eye during his guest stint on Six Feet Under. Adam's talent allows him to move seamlessly between television and film. There is also something about Adam, his look which I find extremely attractive. As an actor, he can weave between the clean cut, goofy and adorable good guy through to a more dark and sexy and more complex look when the role requires it.

Just Because: Tim Chiou

Don't ask me why I had 2 Broke Girls on last night. I am not really a fan. The shows racial stereotyping is off the charts and it's wasting the talents of the incredible Jennifer Coolidge are just the beginning of reasons not to watch. Star Kat Dennings Max has to be one of the most unlikable characters ever to grace a sit-com.

But...as it played in the background last night as I was worked away on my taxes. something, well...someone, had me dropping my receipts and taking notice. I was not sure it was possible to actually enjoy an episode of the series, but actor Tim Chiou succeeded in ensuring just that. The 32 year old had me paying attention and I hope to see more of his work. Tim has appeared on Parenthood, House, CSI NY, Dollhouse, Grey's Anatomy and Southland. Check out more of Tim at his official site HERE:

Just Because: The Men of Cougar Town

Cougar Town returned last week and two episodes in the ratings are not looking great for a 4th season. Not sure how many watch but overuse of botox aside, the show never fails to deliver in the humor department. Cougar Town's humor is not in the same vein as your usual family sit-com. It is often mean spirited (last weeks short man jokes were in extremely poor taste and also quite hilarious)and at someones expense. The cast are all good and Busy Phillips is a comedy stand out. Hopefully ABC will consider it's decision to delay the shows return as part of the reason for it's weak ratings and give it another go in the fall. If this is a show you have not checked out yet, give it a go, story is often week, but despite that, the laughs are strong.

Just Because: Nick Jonas

I haven't really given Nick Jonas much love on FH. In fact, usually when I mention the Jonas Brothers it is with a note of sarcasm. Never really been a fan of the brothers or their music but lately....whoa!!!

Recently watching Nick doing press for his turn in Broadway's How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying has had me paying much closer attention. Maybe it is because Nick is a little older but he is looking, and sounding, mighty fine and getting decent reviews for his performance to boot.

Just Because:

I am sure it is difficult and extremely painful, but be strong Demi!

Just Because: Heather Locklear

Except for a childhood crush on John James chest I never really watched much Dynasty but I have always loved me a little Heather Locklear. Locklear dominated television screens for pretty much the last three decades on Dynasty, TJ Hooker, Melrose Place and Spin City. Funny I feel like I have watched Locklear ever since I can remember watching TV but none of these shows actually appealed to me, speaks I guess to her actual appeal. Sadly, Locklear has appeared to have lost a bit of her mojo. Stuck in mostly Lifetime moves the last little while, a recent broken engagement and last weekends emergency room scare Locklear appears to be having a late in life Lohan. Here's hoping Locklear can pull it together, lay off the botox and slide on her stilettos again soon! No one sashays across a room, or a television screen. better!

Just Because: Manu Bennett

Ok all you FH blog readers...

There are thousands of you who check in each day and I really should not forgive you... Usually I depend on readers to e-mail me about hunks to keep an eye on and why is it no one let me know about actor Manu Bennett and his ummm part in Spartacus?

Soooo...fill me in, worth a look? (yeah I know from the caps yes, but any quality, spill?)

Just Because: For Close to 3 Decades

I have been crushing over Eric Close since I was in high school and first saw him as part of the Walker clan on Santa Barbara. When I recently saw him as Jessica Lange's ill fated (everyone around Constance is doomed) husband Hugo on American Horror Story my crush was reignited.

Santa Barbara (1992)

Close is one of those quiet actors, does not get a huge amount of press, seems respected by his peers, a family man who although has not really had that huge showy and attention seeking part, has worked consistently since he first broke into the business. Close has also racked up a huge fan base and producers know they will follow him in what ever project he chooses to appear in.
