I am not sure there is anyone better to be on your side than Downton Abbey's Anna Smith/Bates. Whether it be someone to listen to, borrow a book from, help you when in need, evening helping to drag a Turkish Diplomat from your room after he dies during having sex with you. I think Anna, played so beautifully by Joanne Froggatt is my favorite character from Downton. Yes, others get the better lines but Anna is a truly beautifully written and portrayed woman.
