Favorites Of Favorites: Dave August

I am very happy that next up in the Favorites of Favorites is actor, singer, dancer and model Dave August. I first became aware of Dave from watching some scenes from 'Broadway Bares' a few years ago. Again, I was on the hunt to find out more. Yes, Dave has a smokin bod, but...Dave also has one the most amazing grins. You put that together with his talent as an actor, singer and dancer, and you have something pretty special!

Since first seeing Dave, I have seen him pop up all over the place. From 'Naked Boys Singing', 'The Fancy Boys Follies', Pride Events and of course his work with DMK. Some of you might have seen Dave regionally in productions of The Rocky Horror Show as Rocky, and in The Full Monty as Keno. Dave has also appeared on Saturday Night Live, Guiding Light, All My Children and toured the world as the lead singer with Chippendales. If your in New York, Dave is currently showing it all as Window in the Off-Broadway hit 'Naked Boys Singing'. People who have seen Dave in 'Naked Boys Singing' are as impressed with his acting and lilting tenor voice as they are his looks. With all that, the icing on this cake is that whenever I asked anyone about Dave August, the first thing they talked about was what a wonderful human being Dave August is.

Sunday's With Hans: Dave August

You all know I love actor, singer, dancer and model Dave August. Dave is one of my favorite guys, so talented, so nice and wonderful to his fans. Dave was gracious enough to take part in my favorites of favorites section last August. You can read that post HERE:

Well, last Sunday I posted part 1 of the series 'Mirror Mirror' and promised a follow up, but that will need to wait. Hans gave me a wonderful Valentines gift last Sunday by sending on some shots from 2002 with the amazing Dave. As always Hans uses color, lighting and many of his signiture shots to create these wonderful images.

Floating With Dave August

On the last Sunday of June, the annual Pride Parade took place in New York. Although I could not be there, I was fortunate to have my friend Jimbo in attendance. Jimbo is not just a great guy he is also a talented photographer who documented the day to share with FH.

Jimbo and I have much in common, most notably our love and admiration for actor, singer, dancer and model Dave August. Dave has been a favorite of mine ever since I first saw him in clips from Broadway Bares a few years ago. Dave is not only great looking and talented but equally as generous. Dave is signed with Wilhelmina and is a fixture on the NY stage, currently he continues appearing in the off Broadway sensation 'Naked Boys Singing'.

Dave, and several others of NY's finest were riding on the big purple & white float sponsored by W Hotels. They all graciously posed for Jimbo for some shots exclusively for FH.

Favorite Hunk of the Day: Dave August

A couple of days ago I posted a series of pics of Dave August for DMK underwear. Since then I have been on the hunt to find out more about this hottie. Something about his grin drew me right in. Dave is not only a model but a talented dancer and actor and has been featured on the NY Stage many times including an off Broadway production of 'Naked Boys Singing'. I cannot find a site for Dave, but this talented, adorable and by all accounts sweet guy certainly has had me on the hunt for more info and pics. I was thrilled to find many of the photos shown in this post, posted by Jimbo at Dreamcaps. Thanks Jimbo! Some are pics he had saved and a few he took himself and he was more than kind enough to share! I will be keeping my eye on Dave and any future projects he is apart of.
